Mechernich – As wished for by the residents of the long-term care facility of the Communio in Christo e. V. social institute, Sister Shelly, who is visiting from New Delhi, gave a presentation on her social work in India. She works for the non-governmental organization “Prachodana” to the benefit of the poor, oppressed and marginalized - regardless of their caste, religion, or gender.
Sister Shelly serves meals and offers medical care as well as educational programs on health, hygiene, the rights of girls and the necessity of school education. (st)
