The Ordo Communionis in Christo will celebrate the 38th anniversary of its founding on the first Saturday of Advent, November 26, at 10 a.m. with a festive Eucharistic celebration in the Mechernich parish church of St. John Baptist (An der Kirche 1). All interested persons are invited to celebrate the service together with the newly elected Superior General Jaison Thazhathil and his deputy, Deacon Manfred Lang.

Father Jaison Thazhathil will give the sermon as the main celebrant. The service will be accompanied by the Mutscheider Gesangverein "Eifelklang" under the direction of Dominik Bützler. Visitors are asked to observe the Corona protection measures then in force.

Fellowship in Christ

Mother Marie Therese founded Communio in Christo as a community in Christ on December 8, 1984. With its community and motherhouse, Christian groups spread throughout the world, and its social work (with "Hospice Stella Maris," the long-term care facility Communio in Christo for those in need of the most severe care in Mechernich, and the senior care facility Haus Effata in Blankenheim), Communio in Christo realizes its ecclesial and at the same time earthly identity.

At the time of Mother Marie Therese's foundation 38 years ago, the idea of lived love was a central concern. Accordingly, lived love can be realized by every person everywhere in the world, because it excludes no one and wants to be hope for all.
