Dear members and friends of Communio in Christo,

I would like to greet you all warmly from the Motherhouse of Communio in Christo in Mechernich.

First of all, I thank all the members of Communio in Christo for their responsible participation in the election of the new Superior General of Communio in Christo and his deputy. I would also like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the numerous greetings and congratulations that have reached me since the day of the election until today.

I am very happy that you have elected Deacon Manfred Lang as the new Deputy Superior General. As you know, he comes from Mechernich, is a book author, managing director of the ProfiPress agency, a member of the chapter of Communio in Christo and a long-time companion of the late Superior General Karl-Heinz Haus. I thank Deacon Manfred, who is now even more committed to Communio in Christo than before.

Dear members of Communio in Christo,

You have elected me as the new Superior General. I thank you for the trust you have placed in me. I understand this election as a mandate from God through you to me. I am wholeheartedly available for this office, which I understand as a service to my fellow men in the spirit of Christian charity in the sense of Mother Marie Therese. Through my long stay at the Motherhouse in Mechernich, I have realized that I cannot do this without the support and prayers of many. Therefore, I continue to ask for your solidarity and prayers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for all that you have done and continue to do for the Communio. And I wish us all a good cooperation in spreading the extraordinary charism of Mother Marie Therese, who is a great support for the Church.
